22 March is World Water Day, but at EnergIQ, the entire month is all about water! Water is of vital importance, both for our Earth – which is 70% water – and for humans. The worldwide attention on climate ensures that problems like water pollution, floods and droughts are in the media on a regular basis. Plus, drinking water is very healthy! With this teaching package, you focus your students’ attention on the importance of water, and you make the climate problem a topic that can be discussed in class.
Make iced tea with the students. Home-made iced tea is healthier than the classic soft drink from the shop, which often contains too much sugar. Get inspired by the recipe on the EnergIQ website.
There is often more water in our food than we might think. This challenge comes with pictures of various types of vegetables and fruits. The students hold up two cards. The rest of the class must guess which of the two contains more water.
